Make a Difference in the Lives of our Youngest Community Members

In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the Blue Ridge Partnership for Children made a powerful impact on the lives of children and families in Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties. Through your support, we were able to achieve the following and more:

• Imagination Library Book Distribution:

  • Provided 20,188 Imagination Library books to 2,049 children at no cost to their families, igniting a love for reading and learning from an early age.

• Childcare Subsidy Assistance:

  • Assisted families/caregivers of 330 children with childcare subsidies, ensuring access to high-quality childcare centers so that parents have the opportunity to work or attend school confidently.

• Blue Ridge Healthy Families:

  • Served 52 families, fostering stronger family units, communities, and healthy childhood development.

• Parent Education Classes:

  • The Parent Education Collaboration served 28 families, including 34 caregivers and 42 children. 44 classes were conducted in 3 counties.
