Taste of the Blue Ridge

Monday • August 12, 2019

Through the generosity of our wonderful community and our association with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, we’ve been able to provide more than 150,000 books to children in Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties. Every child in the tri-county region is eligible to receive a free book in the mail every month thru their 5th birthday. We currently have more than 1,7000 children enrolled in Imagination Library. Wow!

The 2019 Taste of the Blue Ridge is returning to Spruce Pine, where it all started!

This year’s event will take place on Monday, August 12 from 6pm to 9pm at the Cross Street Center in Spruce Pine. This year’s theme is Gems of Appalachia. Taste of the Blue Ridge is our annual fundraiser where the community can come out and have fun while supporting services for kids and families! Enjoy great local food & beverages, play games, and bid on amazing auction packages. All of the proceeds from the event support programs offered by the Blue Ridge Partnership for Children in our tri-county region. All funds raised here, stay here!!

Join us for a fun evening of tasty food, drink, and great auction items including a trip to Cabo San Lucas!!

Buy a ticket, or better yet, sponsor an entire table and invite your office staff, friends, family, church members, anyone who would enjoy the evening and feel good about investing in local children’s services.

Money raised at Taste of the Blue Ridge contributes to the development of children in our community. Research has shown that the first 5 years are developmentally the most important time in a person’s life.

Come out and join your neighbors and friends for a fun night of fabulous food, games and exciting auctions, all benefitting the services of the Blue Ridge Partnership for Children! It’s a great night to Party with a Purpose – investing in our community’s most important resource – our children!
